STUDENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
All students being dropped off and/or picked up from school MUST do so in FRONT of the school. For safety reasons, students will not be allowed to be picked up or dropped off in the North, South or back parking lots of the school.
DESIGNATED STUDENT PARKING AREA
Students must park in their designated parking lot area located on the North side of the school building, except for members of the band who will park in the South lot. Students ARE NOT allowed to park anywhere outside of their designated area. Only vehicles with an affixed Boyd parking decal will be allowed to park on campus. All other vehicles may be towed, ticketed, or booted at the student’s expense.
SENIOR PARKING
Senior only spots are painted in yellow stripes nearest to the school. You must have a Senior decal in order to park here. However, Seniors may also park in the underclassman's white striped spots if a senior spot is unavailable.
20 Senior parking spots that were auctioned off to juniors during 2nd semester last school year have been individually marked with numbers. These numbered spots are only for the auctioned winners.
JUNIOR & SOPHOMORE PARKING
Students park in the designated WHITE STRIPED areas in the North parking lot.
PURCHASING PARKING DECALS
Parking Decals may be purchased early on August 24th from 9:00 -11:30 and 1:00 – 2:30 in the school library. In order to purchase a decal on this date, you must have completed the 6 criteria listed under “Parking Policies and Procedures” on the Web Site. Parking Decals may also be purchased on the first two days of school in the cafeteria during your lunch period. During the remainder of the school year, Parking Decals may be purchased in J-207 during your lunch or before school.
All decals should be permanently affixed (not temporarily taped) to the front lower corner of the passenger windshield. Motorcycles on the front windshield or fork.
Parking Policies and Procedures
In order to receive a MBHS Parking Decal, YOU MUST:
1. Provide Photo copy of your current Driver’s License.
2. Provide Photo copy of your current Insurance Policy. Students name must be listed on the policy.
3. Have already submitted an on-line Registration Card
4. Return Policy & Procedure form signed and dated by both parent and student – also on Boyd website listed above.
5. 5. Pay $50 for full-year permit or $25 for only second semester parking (cash or checks only; checks made payable to McKinney Boyd H. S.).
6. NOT BE ON HOLD LIST FOR OWING TEXTBOOKS, FINES, ETC.
A replacement decal for any reason will cost $5. A portion of the old decal MUST be presented at the time of purchasing a replacement.
TEMPORARY DECAL
Students who were issued a Boyd Parking Decal but are temporarily driving a different vehicle may receive a temporary parking decal issued from J-207. A student must present their driver’s license in order to receive a temporary decal.
