Art Students Win
VASE Competition
The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) has
sponsored the Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) since 1994.
VASE is the only art event of its kind in the nation. Students
are provided the opportunity to bring artworks created in their
art classes to their regional event where they are interviewed
by a certified juror who evaluates their work based on a
standard based rubric and their understanding of the art
processes involved in the development of their artwork.
Congratulations to all of our medal winners:

Reminders
Dropping Items Off for Students
We apologize, but we cannot deliver items to
classrooms. When we have tried to do that, sometimes the
teacher forgets to give the item to a student, or the item
disappears off the desk, etc. Therefore, we will continue to
hold things in the front office for students so they can stop by
in between classes and pick up.
Student Absences
Thank you so much for planning in advance, but
you do not have to call the school and let us know that your
child will be absent that day. Sending a note with your child
when he/she returns will suffice. If you forget to send the
note the day your child returns, don’t worry because you have
three days to turn it in.
Muffins with Moms
We are going to reschedule Muffins with Moms for
the spring semester since we just had Donuts with Dads.
