Debbie Kanar
Principal

Deborah Kanar began her career in education in 1991 as a music specialist at Suwanee Elementary School in Suwanee, Georgia. She was the music specialist at Snellville Middle School in Snellville, Georgia and at Magill Elementary School in Loganville, Georgia. In 1996 Kanar served as the assistant principal at Magill before moving to McKinney in 2001 to be the assistant principal at Walker Elementary School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her master’s of education degree from the University of Georgia.
 

 

Molly Kirsch
Assistant Principal

Molly Kirsch has had experience as a 4th and 5th grade classroom teacher.  She has taught in both Richardson and Frisco, and is thrilled to be a part of the McKinney family.  She has a strong background in curriculum and has had the wonderful opportunity of working with diverse populations.  Molly graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her bachelor’s degree, and received her master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University.  When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, exercising, reading, and cooking.
 

 

Jason Sharp
Counselor

Jason Sharp has experience as both an educator and a counselor, having taught students from elementary to high school and having worked as a counselor in a variety of settings.  He believes that the key to children being successful in school is to promote physical and mental wellness in a stimulating environment full of academic rigor and social opportunity.  Jason received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s of education in Counseling from the University of North Texas.  He is currently working on his doctorate in Counseling with an emphasis on school counseling and group work.  Jason lives in Allen, TX with his wife, Tamara, and 2 year old son, Jackson.

 

 


Michelle Caballero
Instructional Specialist

Michelle Caballero attended Centenary College of Louisiana and Stephen F. Austin State University receiving a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education with a specialization in both Reading and Early Childhood.  She taught Second Grade for over 11 years.  Michelle resides in McKinney with her husband Dan and her two sons, Cade and Kyle.
