Transfer Request
The Human Resources Department is committed to
facilitating the interest of McKinney ISD employees who wish to be
considered for a transfer.
The following steps must be completed in order
to be considered:
-
Step 1
Employees requesting a transfer, must
complete the online Transfer Request form.
**IMPORTANT**
The transfer
request will be submitted automatically via e-mail to Human
Resources and the Current
Principal/Supervisor indicated on the online Transfer Request
form. To ensure the accurate delivery of your form,
please enter the correct Current Principal/Supervisor e-mail address.
-
Step 2
Complete or update an online application.
The application can be found under the Employment button above.
Choose TRANSFER as one Employment Preference on the application.
Choose the position(s) you are interested in for the other
Employment Preference(s).
Complete the online TeacherInsight
interview, if applicable.
If you are requesting a transfer to a teaching position, you will be prompted to complete the TeacherInsight interview upon
submission of your online application unless you have previously
completed the assessment for MISD. The TeacherInsight
interview must be completed before the transfer process will
continue.
- Step 3
Once certification is verified, if applicable, your information
will be included in the transfer database which is accessible by
all administrators.
- Step 4
The "receiving" principal/supervisor may invite
the employee to interview with the campus/department-level
interview team based on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated willingness to work on a "Team"
- Student-Centered Philosophy
- Years of Experience
- Certification
- Evaluations
- Instructional Leadership
- Proven Strength in a "Need" area
- Demonstrated commitment to "Quality"
product/results
- Step 5
If the transfer is awarded, the "awarding" principal/supervisor
notifies the Human Resources Department.
- Step 6
The Human Resources Department will
notify teachers/staff of the status of their transfer via email.
Submission of the Transfer Request form does
not automatically guarantee requested placement. Selection
will be based on aforementioned criteria, available positions, and
credential factors.
Questions regarding this
process may be directed to the Human Resources Department at (469)
